New York City, NY, United States (CNS) – Comedy Central has got both new and familiar material on deck in the weeks to come. The common denominator: It’s all hilarious.

The humor-based cable network will start the next week out with a salute to February’s Black History Month. The evening programming block “Black by Popular Demand” will prominently feature comedy material starring and produced by African-Americans. Running from 8 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. ET on February 21, the night will include favorite standup specials by Chris Rock and Kevin Hart, as well as the movies “Barbershop,” “Barbershop 2: Back in Business,” “Beverly Hills Cop” and “How High.”

In the midst of the classic comedy will come a new special – “Sinbad: Where U Been?” The title comic returns to the stage after a 13-year hiatus from his most recent special. The comedian discusses President Obama, the economic recession, love, marriage and what he’s been up to in the last few years.

Another new standup special is scheduled to air on the network soon. Comedy Central will debut “Danny Bhoy: Subject to Change” on March 6. Within his special, Scottish-Indian comic Bhoy brings up his thoughts on bagpipes and his predilection for the world of accents, leading to his preference for speaking with a French inflection whenever he’s in America.

But viewers won’t have long to wait to be entertained by fresh material between Sinbad’s and Bhoy’s specials.

The rest of the upcoming week includes a multitude of new material, with episodes of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” “The Colbert Report,” “Tosh.0,” “Important Things with Demetri Martin” and “The Sarah Silverman Program.” The week concludes with other new standup segments in “South Beach FNSU” and “Comedy Central Presents,” on February 26, followed by the February 27 premiere of the Charlie Murphy special “I Will Not Apologize.”
